IUC gives $16M to Tertiary Scholarship Awards

Mayor of Kingston, Councillor Desmond McKenzie, will be the guest speaker at the fourth annual Tertiary Track Scholarship Awards Ceremony today, hosted by the International University of the Caribbean (IUC).

The ceremony will commence at 10:00 am at the IUC's Central Campus, 47 Old Hope Road, Kingston 5.

Under the scholarship initiative, $16 million has been allocated over a four-year period to cover the cost of tuition for the 20 recipients.

IUC Grants 19 Scholarships to Inner-City Students

NINETEEN inner-city youths on Thursday received scholarships to attend the International University of the Caribbean (IUC). The scholarships, valued at $8 million, were disbursed under the university's Tertiary Tracks Scholarship programme, and is geared especially towards inner-city young men.

IUC to set up Western Campus in Montego Bay

WESTERN BUREAU:

The International University of the Caribbean (IUC) has announced plans to open and operate a campus - named after former Governor General Sir Howard Cooke, also IUC's first chancellor - in the western city of Montego Bay by January 2011.
